Computer Facilities in Room 401

In room 401, the Department provides two additional "public" computers for use by Ag Econ graduate students, faculty and staff.

Thess computer are intended primarily for color printing and scanning. Because they are a limited resource, these computers are not available for general computer work, such as writing or editing word processing documents, designing presentations, etc. If you plan to use these computers for laser or color printing please complete your documents or graphics on another computer, and have them ready to print.

These computers have:

  • a Kodak i60 high-speed duplexing scanner, with software for scanning text and graphics
  • a CanoScan FS2710 slide and film scanner
  • an Epson 3000 color inkjet printer, for printing color documents and color transparencies
  • a Pinncale video capture system

They also have some special-purpose software, such as:

  • DBMS/Copy, for converting files between many different statistics, database, and spreadsheet formats
  • Conversions Plus, for converting files between many other formats, especially word processors

These computers have access to the H: and S: drive just like the computers in room 403.
